We were approached by Solaraid to produce a logo and branding guidelines for a range of innovative solar products to be produced under the brand name Sunnymoney.
Small-scale solar entrepreneurs in Kenya will sell the products as franchisees, giving them the means to earn an independent income. Initial products are solar conversion kits for Kerosene lamps: the advantages are numerous: no burning of fossil fuels, no gaseous emissions, free to run, powered by an abundant supply of free energy: sunshine*.
We devised a set of logos and dummy advertisements which marketed the product as aspirational, fun and affordable.

Our proposals were presented to solaraid staff in Tanzania and were accepted on first showing as being appropriate and effective in the local context.
A series of individual product logos were also developed and product production begins in 2009.
*The earth receives as much energy from the sun in 20 minutes as is consumed by all human activity in a whole year
